An alligator scute is prong-set and framed in antiqued copper as a very unique and unusual focal feature. The scute is the dermal bony plate from an alligator back. I had bought a handful of these from a taxidermist many years ago, sure that inspiration would strike me at some point in the future. I have attached it to a copper “boomerang” textured to represent an alligator’s skin. Set with a gorgeous vivid green malachite cabochon in the center, and accented with a fiery labradorite cabochon on each end. Strung on thick, supple brown leather cord, with a large hammered copper hook clasp and two inch large link extension chain.
Scute focal frame is about 1-3/4″ wide, boomerang is about 2-1/2″ wide. Total length is about 3″.
Necklace is about 16″ up to 18″ long with 2″ extension.
