Ever since the beginning
of time for mankind, personal adornment with bits of rock, shell, and other
found objects has been the most basic form of personal artistic expression.
Jewelry is what defines our own individuality, it is what we use to make a
statement to the world with about ourselves, and it is the amulet that
represents what is sacred that we keep close to our hearts.
The end of the world as we know it came in 2012. Massive fire storms,
floods, and violent, unstable weather ravaged the earth caused by man's
nuclear tribal wars, leaving behind massive destruction and vast
radioactive areas of land.
For the small pockets of survivors in the first few decades After the End of
the world (Year 01-30 AE), jewelry returned to a more primitive, organic
style. Specialized tools were not readily available, those who were artists
and craftsmen had to work with what they could fashion from found objects
and scrap, often with primitive handmade tools. The style of this jewelry
created during the resurrection of a new civilization after 2012 reflects
the mindset of the times, based on rough and wild survival, personal
symbolism, and an enduring passion to create beauty in a world ravaged by
the sins of man...
